SUPPORTED BY THE ENVIRONMENT AGENCY, GEOLOGISTS' ASSOCIATION, UNIVERSITY COLLEGE WORCESTER, THE WILDLIFE TRUSTS, ENGLISH NATURE, SCOTTISH NATURAL HERITAGE, HEREFORDSHIRE COUNCIL AND EUROPEAN UNION REGIONAL AWARDS FUND

After months of painstaking organisation, Herefordshire and Worcestershire RIGS Group welcomed more than 100 delegates to the first UK RIGS conference at University College Worcester.

It was an important opportunity to assess the progress that individual groups had made to date. There are 49 RIGS groups in England, 4 in Wales and 2 in Scotland; and most of these were represented at the conference.

The printing of the proceedings was made possible by grants from the Geologists' Association, Herefordshire Council and The European Union Regional Awards Fund. Copies are available from the RIGS Group for Herefordshire and Worcestershire at Geological Records Centre, University College Worcester, Henwick Grove, Worcester, WR2 6AJ.
